The 2017 Game On Expo was held over the weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center, with thousands of attendees gathering to celebrate the video gaming industry. This was Game On Expo's third year since its inception, moving from the Mesa Convention Center to downtown Phoenix for this year's event.


Special guests at this year's expo included video game actors Dave Fennoy, Melissa Hutchison, Ellen McLain, John Patrick Lowrie, Carolina Ravassa, Mark Meer, Patricia Summersett, as well as a 25th Anniversary Reunion of the cast of the Mortal Kombat video games.


In addition to special guests, the expo also featured a vendor hall as well as dozens of arcade machines available for play by attendees. The expo also hosted several tournaments, and a masquerade contest during the course of the weekend. Many attendees additionally dressed up as their favorite video game characters.


Main stage performances by comedians and panel discussions by YouTube stars were also held throughout the event, including a presentation by Phil Moore, who is best known as the host of the 1990's television series Nick Arcade.
