Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former Secretary of State and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, spoke at Arizona State University on Wednesday afternoon to a crowd of several hundred student supporters.
The event was promoted as a GOTV rally in an attempt to gin up support among young voters, who regularly vote in smaller numbers than voters in older demographics.
Recent polling has indicated that Arizona has become a tossup state, despite only voting Democratic once, for Bill Clinton in 1996, over the last several decades.
Several Clinton surrogates are visiting the state this week, including Bernie Sanders who campaigned in Flagstaff and Tucson, and Michelle Obama who will campaign on Thursday in Phoenix.
Hillary Clinton herself has only made one campaign appearance in Arizona, the day before the Arizona primary in March earlier this year.
