First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama made an appearance at a campaign rally in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, to campaign for Hillary Clinton just a few weeks before the general election.
Obama made news recently when she spoke out against Trump's controversial remarks caught on tape in 2005, prompting many political analysts to praise her as the Democrat's best surrogate.
Recent polling has indicated that Arizona has moved from leaning Republican to tossup status, but the state has only gone Democratic in recent years once, in 1996.
Obama was introduced by the granddaughter of former U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater, Carolyn Goldwater Ross, and Congressmen Ruben Gallego and Ann Kirkpatrick also spoke.
Michelle Obama's visit comes at the end of a nearly week long push by Hillary Clinton's campaign surrogates, with Bernie Sanders campaigning in Tucson and Flagstaff and Chelsea Clinton in Tempe earlier in the week.
