Con of Thrones, a fan convention dedicated to the television series Game of Thrones and the book series A Song of Ice and Fire, held its first ever convention in Nashville this year, with guests from the show and online influencers discussing the series and theorizing on plot points for the series ahead of its seventh season premiere on July 16.


Guests at this year's Con of Thrones included actors from the show, such as Iwan Rheon, Kate Dickie, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, Sam Coleman, Kerry Ingram, Miltos Yerolemou and Rupert Vansittart, among others.


Also in attendance were sound designer Paula Fairfield, who revealed that the show takes on an even bigger scale in its seventh season, and David J. Peterson who created the spoken language of Dothraki and Valyrian for the HBO adaptation.


Cosplayers also dressed up as their favorite Game of Thrones characters, which concluded in a costume contest in the main ballroom of the venue.


The event was put together by Mischief Management, who also produce a Harry Potter-themed convention known as LeakyCon, and several other conventions.
