The 5th Annual Gold 'N Gavel was held on Friday evening, with the guest of honor at this year's auction and reception being former U.S. Ambassador to Finland Barbara Barrett.


Barrett and her husband, Craig, have been major contributors to Arizona State University, including the Barrett Honors' College which bears their name.


In addition to Barrett, the event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the opening of the law school at Arizona State University, and had many alumni attendance, including former Democratic gubernatorial nominees Fred DuVal and Terry Goddard.


The event was held at the Beus Center for Law and Society in downtown Phoenix.
