The keynote speaker at this year's convention was fitness expert Jillian Michaels, known for her many appearances on television on weight loss and fitness related reality shows, such as The Biggest Loser, and for her health and wellness books and DVDs.

Michaels sought to clarify her appearance at the convention, stating that although she is primarily a fitness trainer, she also runs her own business that has spawned an empire of fitness related products under the Jillian Michaels brand.

In addition to discussing her success, Michaels also spoke of the hardships that came along the way in her career path, including a missed opportunity to appear on a short lived fitness program prior to The Biggest Loser, in which she wasn't entirely honest about her experience in the field, pitching herself as a celebrity trainer. She learned from that mistake, and subsequently became one of the most famous trainers in the United States.

Infusionsoft is the main organizer of the annual ICON convention, which has been held annually in Arizona for several years. Infusionsoft is headquartered in Chandler, Arizona and has been highly ranked several times for its workplace environment.
