Actress Jamie Lee Curtis made a campaign stop for Hillary Clinton in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, visiting a phone bank of volunteer supporters near the campus of Arizona State University.
Curtis was in town for a book signing at Changing Hands Bookstore for her children's book "This is Me: A Story of Who We Are and Where We Came From."
Curtis spoke with volunteers about her support of Hillary Clinton for President, saying that she felt the need to get involved, having spoken earlier in the year across Iowa with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.
In prior elections, Curtis stated that she had simply given financially, but felt more responsible this time around to get involved to help the Democratic nominee. Curtis also felt it was important to speak in Arizona due to the issue of immigration, which relates to her book's message of "sensitizing children to the anxieties, fears and excitement of being an immigrant."
Curtis is among the latest of campaign surrogates to appear in the valley, following in the footsteps of other surrogates such as Anne Holton, Gabrielle Giffords and Gloria Steinem.
