Yesterday morning, former State Senator Kelli Ward, perhaps the most prominent challenger to U.S. Senator John McCain in the Republican primary, made it official at the State Capitol building, officially filing for the primary election.


According to the campaign's social media, Ward reportedly submitted at least three times the number of required signatures needed in order to appear on the ballot in August.


A group of supporters and volunteers for the campaign gathered outside the State Capitol in order to celebrate their achievement, presenting the many boxes that were used to transport the required signatures to the Secretary of State's office to make it official.
