Over the weekend, Senator John McCain brought in some reinforcements in his bid for re-election, bringing in freshman U.S. Senators Joni Ernst of Iowa, Cory Gardner of Colorado, David Perdue of Georgia and Dan Sullivan of Alaska, all of whom have endorsed McCain.


The event took place at the Team McCain headquarters in Phoenix, with about 100 people crammed into the main hall of the office. Each Senator took a couple minutes to explain their reason for endorsement, each presenting a vision of an America in crisis abroad, and the need to elect someone like John McCain because of his experience with foreign policy and seat on the Armed Services committee.


McCain also took some time during the event to rib each of his endorsers, including thanking Cory Gardner for the water from the Colorado river.


Recent media reports have indicated that McCain believes that this will be his toughest election in a long time.
