Howard Schultz, the former CEO of Starbucks, made an appearance at Arizona State University this week, appearing at a talk titled "From the Ground Up," where he spoke with ASU President Michael Crow about his recent book, as well as speculation that he is planning to run for President of the United States.


Schultz has made news by stating that he would consider running as an independent candidate in the 2020 election, if he felt he could make a difference in the race.


Schultz's potential candidacy has been met with both support and some criticism as well, with some political analysts labeling Schultz a potential spoiler, which could tip the election in favor of Donald Trump.


Schultz has remained consistent in his position that he would not run if he felt he would help to re-elect Trump.
