Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi visited Phoenix on Tuesday morning, speaking downtown at Events on Jackson with a group of supporters about what she dubbed the "Trump Tax." The event was hosted by Tax March, and was the latest in a series of town halls held nationwide.
Pelosi spoke on a panel alongside U.S. Congressman Raul Grijalva and former State Senator David Lujan.
There were several protesters outside the event, both Republicans and progressives opposed to Pelosi, and she also briefly faced a heckler inside the event who challenged Pelosi's wealth and her ability to speak for the middle class.
Pelosi had previously referred to the tax cuts introduced by President Trump's tax plan as "crumbs," which drew criticism from many Republican leaders.
