Taiyou Con held its annual convention over the weekend, bringing anime artists and voice actors from around the world to Mesa, Arizona to what has quickly become one of the larger anime conventions in the southwest.


This year, voice actors and guests attending the convention included Cliff Chapin, Yuko Sanpei, Akemi Kanda, Mega64, Shihoko Hirata, Lotus Juice and TeddyLoid, among others.


Many attendees also will dress up as some of their favorite anime characters from television, manga and other types of Japanese media.


In addition to guest panels, the event also has a variety of events including a masquerade, costume meetups, exhibitor hall, video gaming rooms, cafes, and scavenger hunts.


Previous years' guests at Taiyou Con included the likes of Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat, both notably famous for their portrayals of Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z, as well as well known Japanese voice actors like Kapei Yamaguchi and Yuu Asakawa.
