Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy and former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, spoke at a dinner titled Dinner with Kennedy, in honor of her late father, at the Phoenician Resort near Scottsdale on Friday evening.
The event is held annually, and usually honors an important historical figure, and brings in an expert on the subject of the dinner.
Previous dinners have highlighted Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Winston Churchill, with speakers including the likes of Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jon Meacham.
Several hundred people attended the dinner, including former U.S. Ambassador to Finland Barbara Barrett, who introduced Kennedy.
