FreedomFest made its annual presence known in Las Vegas this past week as libertarian loyalists and political aficionados gathered to hear from a wide array of speakers from both the Republican, conservative bent to the more Libertarian side of the spectrum.
Libertarian Presidential nominee Gary Johnson was among the keynotes for the convention. Johnson is making his second bid for the Presidency, running once before in the 2012 election when he garnered about 1% of the vote. Polls this time around have him in double digits.
Also addressing the convention included the likes of Senators Rand Paul and Ben Sasse, as well as Don King and George Foreman.
FreedomFest this year focused heavily on the 2016 presidential election, hosting among many other events a panel discussion on Trump. Surprisingly the audience was split on their support of Trump, with many of his supporters vocally in attendance. Panelists Jeffrey Tucker and Trump loyalist Wayne Allyn Root got into a shouting match at one point during the discussion.
